Dr. James Burke has practiced orthopaedic surgery since 1979. He received his board certification in 1983 and became a member of Covenant Medical Group in November of 2001. Special interests include sports medicine, Birmingham Hip Resurfacing and total joint replacement.

Dr.Darrell J. Franks has practiced orthopaedic surgery since 1993. He has been a member of the Covenant Medical Group since 1998. Special interests include hand surgery, sports medicine, limb lengthening, deformity corrections, treatment of non-union fractures and bone infections by external fixation. Dr. Franks also speaks fluent Spanish.

Dr. Harry Hall has practiced orthopaedic surgery since 1974. He received board certification in 1987 and was recertified in 1997 and 2007. Dr. hall joined Covenant Medical Group in 2002. Special interest is joint replacement.

Dr. Atul B. Joshi has practiced orthopaedic surgery in Lubbock, TX since 2003. He received his doctor of medicine from Bombay, India & England, U.K. In the U.S.A., he did his residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas and J.P.S. Health Network in Fort Worth Texas.

Dr. Atul B. Joshi received his master of orthopedic surgery from Liverpool University, in England, U.K., and fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh, U.K. He is board certified in orthopedic surgery and is a member of the American Academy of Hip & Knee Surgeons.

Dr. Atul B. Joshi is licensed in the states of Texas and New Mexico. His special interests include joint replacement, trauma, and Birmingham Hip Resurfacing (BHR). He continues to be involved in orthopedic research, and has 36 publications and more than 140 presentations at national at national and international levels. Dr. Joshi is an active member of various national and international orthopedic societies.

Dr. Karl Pankratz joined Covenant Medical Group in 2008 after completing his medical education and orthopedic training at Texas Tech University. His special interests include sports medicine, joint replacement and pediatric orthopedic injuries.

Dr. James Gutheil is a pediatric orthopedic surgeon with clinical expertise in scoliosis, hip dysplasia, clubfeet, fractures and trauma, neurological disorders and hand surgery. He is on the medical advisory board of the Children’s Orthopedic Society, a charitable organization in Lubbock providing support to children with orthopedic disorders and their families.

Dr. Richard Pfeiffer is an orthopedic surgeon at Covenant Health System and Covenant Women's and Children's. His current practice focuses on sports medicine and his clinical expertise is in shoulder and knee arthroscopic procedures. He is a team physician for a number of high schools, Lubbock Christian University, and Texas Tech University. His mission in medicine is to deliver compassionate, quality care in sports medicine.
